There are a few things that make me feel better when I’m in need of feeling better. One of those things is running. I had a friend who couldn’t run because he couldn’t handle being alone with his thoughts. But for me, I like that. I like the pounding of my feet on the pavement as my thoughts sort of create their own cadence. I like the time spent alone and pushing myself just the least little bit more.
Another thing that makes me feel better is music – the louder the better. I like cranking up the volume and losing myself in the bass line or the drum beat.
One more thing that makes me feel better is so simple. When I’m feeling crappy, I like curling up on the couch with Max, Baxter, and JP, just watching something on television with the people (and furpeople) I love the most.
